Windows XP Resolution?

Guys i really need help i installed windows 98, windows 2000, and windows xp and i only get 1 resolution only 640 by 480 pixels b4 i had it on 800 by 600 pixels. Now i installed win 98 again so please can anyone help its not my computer im tring 2 fix my friends tks guys i really appriciate it
