When filing a claim on my auto ins., how long does the process take?

I was involved in a not at-fault accident. I will have to file the claim for the damage on my ins. policy, due to the at-fault party being uninsured. Once I file the claim, how long does the process take for my ins. company to send out an adjuster and begin the process of fixing the damages?...I already have my vehicle at a collision/mechanical repair shop.
