How do I break up with him?

Ok he asked me out Friday b4 thanksgiving and I got his # the day b4 yesterday well I'm sick so we were just Texting and it's not like I don't like him I just don't like him like that he is sweet but he just doesn't talk very well I'm not talking like he has a lisp he just can't make conversation and when he does I have to keep it moving or he ends up saying I like pie instead of bringing up something else to talk about and I just don't feel like I wanna date him I just think we'd be better as friends but the last time someone broke up with him (they only went out a week) he cried and I wouldn't be able to handle it help please!!!
