Do we all have front row seats for the end of the world or is Japan just a superstitious sign?

I think we're just overreacting. Every time there's a catastrophe people start freaking out that it's a sign the world is coming to an end. We've been doing it for as long as we've been around and we'll probably keep doing it until the end does come.
